After childbirth, mothers are often given a timeline for recovery.
There is the six-week checkup. Maternity leave ends. Family members return home. The calls and visits begin to slow down. Little by little, the outside world starts expecting the mother to be “back to normal.”
But postpartum recovery doesn’t work that way.
A mother may still be healing physically while also adjusting emotionally, learning her baby, managing exhaustion, and trying to understand who she is now. Some days may feel manageable. Other days may bring sadness, anxiety, frustration, loneliness, or a sense of being disconnected from herself.
There is no single schedule for healing.
That is why WORTHHH created the Heal Her app: to give mothers a private, practical way to check in with themselves throughout the first year postpartum.
Support for the full first year
A great deal of postpartum attention is focused on the first few weeks after birth. Yet the need for support doesn’t suddenly end after the six-week appointment.
New challenges can appear as the months pass. Sleep patterns change. Relationships shift. Returning to work may bring new stress. A mother may begin processing her birth experience long after everyone else has stopped asking about it.
Heal Her is organized month by month to support those changing experiences throughout the first postpartum year.
Mothers do not have to begin during the first month. They can open the app, choose the month they are currently in, and start there.
No catching up. No starting over. No feeling as though the opportunity to care for yourself has already passed.
Making room for honest check-ins
Mothers are asked many questions about their babies:
Is the baby eating?
Is the baby sleeping?
Is the baby gaining weight?
Heal Her turns some of that attention back toward the mother.
The app includes guided check-ins and reflection prompts that help mothers pause and notice what they may have been pushing aside. Instead of requiring a polished answer, the prompts make room for honesty.
How are you feeling today?
What has been difficult?
What do you need more of?
What part of yourself are you trying to reconnect with?
A check-in cannot solve every problem, but it can help a mother recognize when she needs rest, practical help, community support, or professional care.
Small practices for real life
Postpartum life doesn’t always leave room for a long wellness routine. Some mothers are trying to care for themselves between feedings, diaper changes, appointments, work, household responsibilities, and broken sleep.
Heal Her includes guided reflection, affirmations, breathwork, and wellness exercises that can be used in the time a mother actually has.
These practices are not about doing postpartum perfectly. They are simple ways to pause, breathe, name what is happening, and return some care to the person doing so much of the caring.
Even a few intentional minutes can help a mother reconnect with herself.
A companion to the Heal Her Workbook
The Heal Her app was created as a companion to the Heal Her Postpartum Wellness Workbook.
Some mothers prefer writing by hand and spending quiet time with the printed workbook. Others need something they can reach from their phone. Many may use both depending on the day.
The workbook allows for deeper written reflection, while the app makes the monthly prompts and wellness tools easier to access wherever a mother happens to be.
The goal is not to give mothers another task to complete. It is to make support easier to reach.
Supporting recovery without pretending to replace care
Heal Her is an educational wellness tool. It does not diagnose postpartum depression, anxiety, or any other medical or mental-health condition. It is not therapy, and it does not replace care from a licensed healthcare professional.
What it can do is help a mother pay attention to her emotional well-being, put words to what she is experiencing, and recognize when she may need more support.
Sometimes that recognition is an important first step.
A mother should not have to wait until she is in crisis before her well-being matters.
Healing can begin where you are
There is no perfect way to recover after childbirth. There is also no deadline for needing care.
Whether a mother is one month postpartum or approaching the end of her first year, she deserves tools that recognize her as a whole person—not only as the person responsible for the baby.
Heal Her was created to remind her:
Your healing still matters.
Your feelings deserve attention.
You are allowed to ask for support.
And you can begin exactly where you are.
The Heal Her app is available now on Google Play.
